Pabokede Initiative for Child Protection & Family Life Education is a nonprofit organization committed to preventing child abuse, promoting child protection, strengthening families, and equipping parents, educators, and communities with practical knowledge to create safer environments for children.

To protect children and strengthen families through education, advocacy, capacity building, community engagement, and practical child protection interventions.

What We Do
🛡️ Child Protection & Safeguarding
We equip parents, educators, institutions, and communities with knowledge and practical tools to prevent and respond to child abuse.
👨👩👧 Positive Parenting & Family Life Education
We help families build healthier relationships, improve communication, and raise emotionally secure children.
🎓 School-Based Child Protection
We work with schools to strengthen safeguarding awareness and create safer, child-friendly learning environments.
📚 Educational Resources
We develop books, workbooks, activity materials, and other resources that make child protection and family education accessible and practical.
🤝 Community Education & Advocacy
We engage communities and stakeholders in conversations and programmes that promote children’s rights, safety, and well-being.
👥 Capacity Building
We train parents, teachers, volunteers, caregivers, and other professionals to become stronger advocates and protectors of children.
Our Impact
Since relaunching its programmes in 2025, Pabokede Initiative has reached 1,681+ beneficiaries, including 381 adults and 1,300 children, through training, outreach, school engagement, and child protection education.
Our work has included engagement with schools, government stakeholders, community leaders, civil society partners, and media organizations, helping expand awareness and institutional support for child protection.
Our Flagship Programme
Safe & Smart Initiative
Safe & Smart is Pabokede Initiative’s flagship child protection education programme designed to equip children with age-appropriate safety knowledge while strengthening the capacity of parents, teachers, and caregivers to protect them.
As part of the programme, participants may receive age-appropriate educational materials, including selected books authored by Patricia Abokede, at no cost to them.

to build a stronger culture of prevention and protection.
Our 2027 Goal
To expand Safe & Smart across low-income public schools, reaching 10,000 children, 1,000parents, and educators with practical child safety and safeguarding education.
